A Giant’s Campfire – Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas, Nevada
A Giant’s Campfire was taken just after a winter storm came through the Las Vegas Valley with some rain and gave a magnificent sunset at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Although Red Rock Canyon is in AJ Pagano’s backyard and he is often out in Red Rock; hiking, mountain biking, scrambling or just getting away from the noise of Las Vegas, getting a sunset with this particular dynamic is a rare spectacle. There were hundreds of photos shared that day from both inside the Las Vegas Valley and from near Red Rock itself because of the stunning display.
AJ’s father happened to be in town visiting and after a few minutes of his father not wanting to leave the house and the dogs, AJ convinced him to get out of the house and go check out the mountains and Bonnie Springs for a little bit.(Bonnie Springs is gone now – to greed and a thoughtless waistful purchase). AJ was fortunate to have brought out his camera that day and knew to be in the right place at the right time with the right equipment and knowledge to pull off the shot and at a resolution to make this image into a extremely large and high definition print. Every time he delivers this print to someone and sees this print, AJ thinks of the great time they had that day experiencing an amazing moment together.
