Hurricane Rachel Rainbow Over Red Rock Canyon – Vertical Print

Description

This vertical Las Vegas rainbow wall art print captures a rainbow rising over the Rainbow Mountains of Red Rock Canyon, photographed on October 11, 2026, as Hurricane Rachel flooded the Las Vegas valley. The tall format suits narrow walls, hallways, stairwells, and spaces beside doorways.

The Story Behind the Photo

I got out to Red Rock to get this Rainbow over the mountains in the morning when the sun was breaking through clouds and beaming into the rain clouds in front of the Rainbow Mountains in Red Rock Canyon. Rainbows began forming early that morning as I was driving there and I spent the next few hours timing them with the passing rain showers and downpours that were flooding roads across Las Vegas, shooting video of the storms in the form of drone, time lapse and HD video off of my phone. When the clouds finally opened to the east, the rain clouds were in perfect position in the canyons of Red Rock Canyon, the rainbow then ended with the Pot of Gold at the base of Rainbow Mountain.
