Zion National Park and Sheep trip

There is going to a gallery and plenty of photos from this past weekend’s trip to Zion National Park. Here is a shot of a ram that I got quite a few shots of – and the rest of the herd of sheep as well within the gallery that will be posted in the next couple of days. There were just blue skies, so it didn’t make for much in the way of dramatic landscape shots, but I still grabbed a few from the canyon floor at night and from Cable Mountain looking down on the canyon during the day. Whether day or night, great weather or bad weather, the view from Cable Mountain is still amazing! The 8 miles in was well worth it – even though someone in the hiking party needed their Midol.

Fortunately the sheep were in rut, so not only were they hangings out, but the rams were butting heads. So I have a couple of shots of that and some video as well. Check back this week and I will have the video on YouTube and the rest of the photos up on the site in the Zion Gallery.
