Rarely do I get out and shoot anything of human interests, or things that have to do with people and post in the blog, but… I was able to get a couple of quick shots of “entertainment” happening on The Fremont Street Experience during the second Life is Beautiful Music Fest in Downtown Las Vegas, in October 2014. These photos pretty much fly in the face of the festival, because I happened to be more amused with how there are people down on Fremont dressed up as…. in some cases I didn’t know what they were dressed as, but just there for attention and tips too.
The cool thing about these photos were that they were shot with the new Sony A7s and Sony’s Zeiss 55mm A-mount lens. This was the first time out with the camera and it definitely is something to look forward to in the future – both my photos and others’. The camera is great. I’ll have soon have a lens adapter and it will go with the Canon lenses I have. From there it has great silent shooting, extreme low light capabilites, and – with the prime lens I have – pretty quick auto focusing. It remains to be seen with the telephoto lens in low light.
There are some photos of the at the end of the gallery above from the festival. Foo Fighters, Fitz and the Tantrums, and the Arctic Monkeys.
