Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands National Park…

…is a vast landscape of wilderness and canyons… canyons within canyons, mesas, spires, benches, hoodoos, and two mighty rivers. At first glance you might overlook the park as close as it is to the Grand Canyon, but this park has a great deal more in exploration and landscape dynamics. My time in the park mainly revolved around the Island in the Sky area and the Potash Rd into the park and some of the White Rim Trail. This trip was more of a scouting trip, as well as “kill as many bird with one stone as well” with Monument Valley and Arches National Park being so close. But with the winter storm Kayla rolling through the southwest US, my extended stay yielded some great shots of a few feet of snow covering the ground in the entire area that is rarely photographed.
