Mule Deer and Hawks in Wasatch State Park, Heber City, Utah

Finally, I was able to shoot some Mule Deer photos !!! I haven’t been out as much as I was out hiking last year, but I got to go up to Heber City, Utah – to see my brother and his family – and as a bonus we went hiking for a little bit. As with 99% of the time when I get to go out with him, there is wildlife worth shooting (with a camera) and we drove up on a couple of mule deer grazing in a meadow, up on a foothill of a mountain top. As well there were some other shots I got of a doe taking off on me after grazing in another meadow and a hawk (maybe a falcon – I don’t birds) that kept circling over top of me.

The next morning, my brother took me over to see some vultures perched up on the roof of the town hall, stretching and warming their wings. the ugly birds took off shortly thereafter and circle in a cyclone above the north part of town before vanishing off into the mountain range to the northwest. It would have been nice to get some shots of them out of town and in a natural setting. As nasty as it may sound, even some shots of them eating would have been great.
